This paper presents the bearing capacity determination of strip footing placed on sand underlain by clay and subjected to inclined loading. The equation is derived within framework limit equilibrium following projected area approach. inclinations load spread were selected performing an additional finite element analysis. A parametric study was conducted highlight effect various input parameters such as i) thickness top layer, ii) embedment depth footing, iii) friction angle cohesion clay, iv) inclination applied load. obtained results for a vertically loaded are slightly underestimated with that available in literature. computed values foundation loading compare favorably lower but overestimates higher angle, concerning using formula
